Soup time

It's that time of year again for most and includes myself.  That time when you've over indulged during the holidays and the old waist line and tummy let you know about it.  I have a house full of sweets and enjoyed a little too much bubbly lately.  Time to detox and get back to business.

It's always good to start with letting your system rest, hydrate and fuel.  Soup is always a great option and very inexpensive, especially vegetable soup.
When I make soup, I always make plenty!  It's hard not to.  This soup had the trilogy of carrots, celery and onions with garlic, kale, potatoes and black eyed peas.  I'll freeze some for a rainy day and then just eat the rest little by little until gone!
